“I grew up with parents that valued eating a healthy diet and I always had a keen interest in cooking. In my teenage years I became very interested in Aromatherapy and the healing properties of essential oils. The discovering of the healing power of plants was so inspiring and along with my love of biology and how our body functioned I began on a journey into natural health. I was 17 when I was accepted into Naturopathic college – it was suggested to me that I should ‘live my life a bit’ before I began my studies. So I worked in the world of finance for a few years before travelling overseas and visiting numerous countries and having lots of fun !

I arrived back in Australia at the age of 21 keen to get started with my studies. I knew that I really wanted to be a Naturopath.

In my final years of Naturopathic Studies I began working as the dispensary assistant at Pymble Grove Health Centre in Gordon, one of Sydney’s top wholistic medical centres. Upon graduating in 2001 I began practicing at the clinic and I was blessed to have mentors in Dr Karen Bridgman, Dr Giselle Cooke, Dr Richard Schloeffel and Dr Antony Underwood. All of whom were incredibly supportive and generous with their knowledge. I also consulted at a Chiropractic Clinic in Neutral Bay.

I had a keen interest in Women’s Health, Hormones and Fertility so I began helping a lot of clients with these issues. To complement this I completed a Certificate in Natural Fertility Management with fertility specialist Francesca Naish. This is where my passion for pre-conception healthcare was born. Along the way I was approached by Paediatrician, Dr Antony Underwood and began working with a lot of children with Autism, ADD, ADHD and Behavioural Issues. During this time I did many lectures for the MINDD foundation.

In 2007 I moved to the beautiful South Coast to raise my family. During this time I continued to consult from home in amongst busy family life. I furthered my studies with various online courses on gut health, adrenal fatigue and developed a special interest in naturopathic oncology as I had various family members at the time with cancer.

During these pregnancy, birthing and mothering years I journeyed into the importance of rites of passage for menarche, childbirth, mothering and menopause. And have deepened my understanding of the wheel of life and connecting with our cycles. I have attended many workshops with Jane Hardwicke Collings and have been guided by her wisdom. I was blessed to have her as my midwife for my second birth. Being a mother of 2 sons I have a deeper understanding of the rites of passage for our boys into young men. I strongly believe there is much healing to be had by embracing and understanding these sacred times in our lives.

In 2016 I began practicing at Milton Family Medical Practice once again embracing the knowledge and wisdom of both traditional naturopathic practices along side modern medicine.

I live and breathe Naturopathy and have done for most of my adult life, it is not only my work but my life passion. I’m so very grateful to live on the beautiful south coast with my loving partner and raising our two gorgeous sons in this natural wonderland. The gift of motherhood has strengthened my passion and insights into the importance of living a healthy, wholesome and balanced life.”
